Blue Ribbon Association Award

The OEA Blue Ribbon Association Award recognizes a local affiliate of the Ohio Education Association for its demonstration of innovative work related to OEAs three strategic priorities. Those priorities are:

  1. Build locals’ capacity to be more relevant to members.
  2. Build image of educators.
  3. Build OEA as a strategic resource for member issues.

Local associations presented with the Blue Ribbon Award have shown themselves to be true advocates of public education and its employees.  Recipients of the OEA Blue Ribbon Association Award will be honored at the OEA Awards Banquet during the weekend of the OEA Spring Representative Assembly. Recipients will receive a monetary award in the amount of $1,000. For additional information, please contact OEA at:

NOTE: The completed nomination form must be received or postmarked on or before the deadline: January 19, 2018. Late applications will not be considered.

All applicants will receive notification of receipt of his/her application. The finalists may receive an interview request at the discretion of the committee. Only complete applications will be considered. The OEA Awards and Scholarship Sub-Committee reserves the right to present no award or to refer an applicant to another award or scholarship.
