About OEA's Research Department
OEA's Research Department provides bargaining support to LRC's and affiliated local associations, as well as research and data-gathering and reporting support to the entire organization.
Some of the products supported by the Research Department are the General Fund Analyses, the OEA Contract Information System, the OEA Arbitration Retrieval System, Higher Education support, publication of the Bargainer's Handbook and the Contract Language Development Guide, as well as a variety of other ad hoc reports and studies.
Complete access to these services is provided to OEA members through our local field offices, or here on our web site in our Members Only area.
For the general public, OEA Research continually publishes a variety of reports and publications that you can access through this site.
Think Twice Weekly Report of the Great Lakes Center for Education Research and Practice
The Think Twice Weekly Report is a compilation of education-related articles and reports posted each week by the think tanks monitored as part of the Think Twice think tank review project funded by the Great Lakes Center for Education Research and Practice. As a supporting member of the Great Lakes Center, OEA recommends its research -- from independent sources at major universities -- as an objective critique of research from think tanks advocating charter schools, private school vouchers and other privatization plans.
