Cat-a-Van Reading Tour Hits the Road to Get Kids Reading, Brushing
WASHINGTON — February 20, 2014 — The Cat in the Hat is back in Ohio, and he’s revving up his engines to get kids excited about reading—and brushing their teeth! This year’s official Read Across America celebrations will start in Seuss-tastic style when NEA’s Cat-a-Van Reading Tour hits the road on February 24 with stops in Ohio.

Read Across America 2014
It's never too early to plan your event. Get ready to grab your hat and read with the Cat in the Hat on Monday, March 3, 2014 for the 17th annual Read Across America Day. The Seussical celebration will kick off a week of reading across the nation as members gather students, parents, and community members together to share their love of reading.
OEA Read Across America Video Contest
OEA is seeking entries for our Read Across America video contest that highlights the importance of reading. It can be your own production, or coverage of a Read Across America event. The winning video will be aired at the Ohio Education Association 2014 Spring Representative Assembly and the winning team will receive a Barnes and Noble $200 gift card.
Opportunity for Teachers
