Harvard Achievement Gaps Initiative

The Achievement Gap Initiative (AGI) at Harvard University has a primary focus of academic research, public education, and innovative outreach activities on a critically important national challenge — closing the achievement gap. The AGI website http://www.agi.harvard.edu/ contains a database of research and video presentations that address this critical issue. The AGI conference report How High Schools Become Exemplary: Ways That Leadership Raises Achievement and Narrows Gaps by Improving Instruction in 15 Public High Schools, reveals how schools dramatically improved achievement for all students when the school leadership teams focused thoughtfully and persistently on improving student achievement.
