A Strong Public Schools System Is the Cornerstone of Our Democratic Community

The Ohio Education Association believes a strong system of public schools is the cornerstone of our moral, social, economic, and democratic community. A successful public education system offers equal opportunities to all of its citizens by creating the conditions necessary for all students to learn the skills, knowledge and values necessary for their future success as individuals and members of their communities.

The Quest for Quality represents the vision and enthusiasm of OEA's members, governance and staff for strengthening public education. It is the articulation of what we believe an effective public education system should be for individual learners and the larger community. This vision can be realized only through the combined efforts of public educators and education professionals in concert with the students, families and the state and local communities they serve. We urge you to read OEA's comprehensive education vision statement thoroughly and consider what you can do to make it a reality.
